One of two identical Wedgwood medallions of Jones (58.S.61). Ceramic, white on black jasper dip. On rear, "Wedgwood/O" and "P. Jones," stamped.

Oval-framed, profile silhouette, facing left. Subject wears her hair up, with a flower or ribbon at the top of her head. Unsigned and undated. Maiden name, "Walker," is marked on paper backing. Pairs with husband, Jacob Hiltzheimer (1975.725.1).

Oval-framed, profile silhouette, facing right. Subject has long hair or wig, tied back with a ribbon. He wears a neckcloth and ruffle. Unsigned and undated. Pairs with wife, Hannah Hiltzheimer (1975.725.2).

Wooden model of white pine and mahogany with steel cutter. A large wheel that rolls along the ground has an integral pulley, through which it drives a vertical shaft having a four-bladed cutter at its lower end. (Robert P. Multhauf, "Catalogue of Instruments and Models," 1961).

Complex wood model of fireplace combined with hearth. Oven is above fireplace and an incomplete tin stovepipe is above the hearth. Metal mechanism to lift flue sticking out of left portion of model. Covered in blue paper.

Wood and cardboard model of stove. Three levels, including an upper chamber, probably for hot air, as well as the fire and ash boxes. There is no communication between the three chambers, nor between them and the double chimney consisting of two concentric flues. All walls are double. Two wire pulls. Side and top are labeled "Presented 3 November 1797" in handwritten ink. Two red seals are affixed to top of box, with monogram "AC."

Mahogany model consisting of an open frame 18" high, enclosing three other telescoping frames of similar length, capable of extending to 73." Each frame is slotted to fit those contained within it. A windlass at the base operates the elevator through simple pulleys. The base has folding projections to increase the effective base area. Unmarked. (Robert P. English mahogany secretary bookcase in two sections. Key-fret frieze molding and a pair of glabed doors of interlaced heart-and-diamond mullion work encloses the interior of wooden shelves. The lower section has a straight front of four cockbeaded drawers and is hinged to fall outward into a writing board. The interior of the desk houses a row of four small square drawers at each end; the center has a long drawer over three open shelves, flanked by a closed compartment with a plain door. (Murphy D. The upper section originally had a delicately carved and pierced swan's neck pediment with a central-urn finial suspended with swags adjoining the leafy rosette terminals above a central shell-carved plinth (now missing).

Chippendale double-pedestal medical desk, ca. 1780. Molded rectangular top formed by a pair of hinged ends which open outward (each contains a lid and a storage space within). These flank a lift-up center section. Opened, a fitted work surface (covered with green baize, and a pigeonhold seciton with two ivory drawer pulls) is exposed with a fall-front mock drawer. All of this section surmounts a conforming cockbeaded wide drawer with continuous case moldings. The twin pedestals beneath are each fitted with a graduate series of three cockbeaded drawers which are flanked by large brass carrying-handles to the sides, all above a continuous deep base molding. Rolltop desk and removable bookcase with glass doors. The tambour door with turned wooden pulls slides vertically up the tracked sloping sides, exposing the interior of six small drawers with fruitwood fronts fitted with ivory knob pulls. These small drawers are under seven black-paned pigeonholes. The baize-covered extendable writing surface, which pulls out to 21" deep with three mock drawers behind, is above a cockbeaded wide drawer with turned wooden pulls within three slender case moldings continuing along the sides. These are raised on ringed, slender, tapering, reeded round legs terminating the compressed globous ankles with tall peg feet. The upper section is a low cabinet of twin double-panel glazed doors enclosing an interior of adjustable shelves. (Murphy D. Smith, "Due Reverence," 1992).

Pair of inlaid mahogany folding top gate-leg card tables, possibly of Philadelphia manufacture. Each has a rectangular folding top with inset ovolo corners, inlaid with double-stringed edges and a broad band border above a conformingly shaped apron, inlaid with plain string reserves and slender banded edge, raised on stringed tapering square legs with crossband cuffs. Federal drop-leaf Pembroke table. Single-plank rectangular overhanging top hinged with rounded shallow drop-leaves which can be raised on hinged swing supports, flanking a frieze drawer with a turned wooden pull above a cockbeaded edge molding. The table is raised on tapered reeded round legs which terminate in compressed globous ankles with deep peg-feet and turned at top with deep collars. (Murphy D. Smith, "Due Reverence," 1992).
